Forms & deadlines

Forms and deadlines: verify the current version before you submit

PaperworkOS helps you record which official form or portal you used, what instructions applied and when you plan to act. It does not replace the issuing organization’s current form or deadline rules.

PaperworkOS is an independent information and organization resource. It is not a government agency, law firm, migration agent, insurer, tax adviser, financial adviser or medical provider. Tools and guides help you organize facts, documents and questions; they do not determine eligibility, rights, deadlines or outcomes. Always confirm current requirements with the relevant official source.

Start with the record, not your memory

  1. Save the notice, email, form or receipt.
  2. Record the exact dates and reference numbers.
  3. Separate what you know from what you still need to verify.
  4. Use the official source before you submit anything.

A better way to prepare

Find the issuer first

Start from the organization responsible for the process, then navigate to its form library or portal.

Record version and access date

Save the form number/title, revision date if shown, official page and the date you accessed it.

Read filing instructions separately

Attachments, signatures, certification, payment and submission methods may be explained outside the form.

Calculate only after verifying the rule

A date calculator cannot tell you which trigger date or counting rule applies. Record the official rule before calculating a planning date.
